About us

Our journey with Japan has been part of our story for many years — specifically since 1999, when The Sushi Bar was founded. This is where the story began and where it continues to naturally evolve today.

Over time, we fell in love with the green powder known as matcha and decided to bring this unique experience to this very address, right next to — and directly connected with — the original sushi bar. The space, which had served as a fish shop since 1997, is now entering a new chapter.

We are creating a place dedicated to first-class matcha, quality coffee, and brunch inspired by Asian flavors. Our goal is to build a space loved by all matcha, coffee, and brunch enthusiasts.

We offer simple breakfasts, specialty Onyx coffee, and brunch dishes influenced by curry cuisine. The restaurant is now co-owned by David Rodgers, who spent many years cooking Southeast Asian cuisine and now brings his experience to life here, as well as in the neighboring sushi bar.

We prepare our own curry paste in-house to offer our guests a distinctive and authentic experience that ties the entire concept together.
